DIY: Playdoh

Do your kids play with playdoh all the time and leave it out to dry up? Does buying playdoh repeatedly become annoying and expensive? Maybe it’s time to make your own for your kids to play with over and over again!

Ingredients:

1 cup All purposed flour

1 cup Water

2 teaspoons Cream of tartar

1/3 cup of table salt

1 tablespoon Vegetable or canola oil

Gel food coloring

  1. Add the flour, cream of tartar, and the salt to a 2 quart sauce pan
  2. Add a few drops of the food coloring to a cup of water, then stir into the dry mixture
  3. Add the oil to the mixture
  4. Heat stove to medium heat and stir until dough starts to become solid
  5. Keep stirring, there may be lumps and that’s ok
  6. Once it starts to stir around with the spoon you are done
  7. Remove a cool
  8. Squish to remove lumps
  9. Once your playdoh is COMPLETELY COOL may store in Ziploc or container
